April 2006 Archives
A set of songs to get you to feel the heat and humidity coming with slow yet explosive intensity that someone will have to go see the hairdresser soon.
I had to throw some hard Swervin’ beats on a nice night like this to get into the mood for what promises to be an early weekend flow.
Lay back with me while I lay back in my “snake den” slipping into spring on smooth sounds while enjoying the breezes through the windows and the incense and fragrances floating in the air.
I couldn’t help but kicking some strong flavor into the spring night to celebrate the end of all this Cali rain and the temperatures climbing.
I’m back up and streaming these fantastic melodies of funky music which is strong flavored in R&B & Hip-Hop, with bits of Blues, Rock, Reggae, Pop & Jazz thrown in the musical gumbo.
I’m taking the music off the air for a brief moment toad some new songs and reshuffle the entire mix. Since I’m performing no other maintenance the music should be up and streaming soon.
Time to throttle things down a while listening to the mellow slow flavor unique to the “House of Beat” music stream offered up yours truly. Place yourself in that mindset and ride the mellow and spicy vibes and if you don’t know how stay tuned and relaxed and the music will take you there
I am back streaming with that unique combination of
slamming Hip-Hop, R&B, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Pop and Reggae mix.
Heavy dosages of hip-hop of course and those surly and
mellow sounds as well.
Enjoy and remember that if the playlist is not keeping
up with the song played you may need to refresh your
browser. When using "Winamp" the "playlist" is about "1.5
minutes ahead" of the "song" since I have to point the stream through
the Shoutcast interface of my music server.
As I restart this streaming party I’m going to start it off
a set of hyped and heavy big beats only for the next couple of hours at least!
This is an old school new booty and everything in between
the crevices and on top of the hills type of mix
I like to keep up on my Windows OS security updates so updating my music server and this requires a reboot.
My music is mixed and the software requires a bit of time to resync because unlike a lot of other streamed music you may hear I like to give you that nice DJ touch being that I like am a former/part-time DJ I would have it no other way.
Some nice slow jams right around the witching hour if you are PDT zone, if not enjoy just the same.
Settling back Sunday night relaxing to some mellow tunes looking out the window into the night.
I’m playing that wildstlyle ,Snakeice style, while hanging out around the home den heavy on Cali flavor of course but flowing on all channels of genre and songs that feature the wild style fun flavor for this set.
The Music Server is back and streaming music after music shuffle of play list.
Reshuffling music on my music server and will be back momentarily.
I was testing some items on my blogs and found that I was unable to leave comments. I looked through my settings and had comments enabled properly. I looked at the plugins and none of them affected the ability to leave comments.
I then went to Sixapart and found the following in their knowledge base article: http://www.sixapart.com/movabletype/kb/comments/comment_and_tra.html
That article set me straight and after setting my “Preferred Archive Type" to "Individual" my blog will now accept comments again.
I had to make this change individually on each blog
Nice slow set for the next hour or more.
Throwing a wild set the way we like it on 'DA Westside.....CALI for sho' and everyone else who likes to party!
One of my memory modules failed today on my trusty "Web Server". I
came in and was going to update my "Main Blog" and then of
course couldn't make any connection to my "Web Server".
My "Music Server" was still streaming music and I could see a number of
people listening to this Music on Winamp.
Well I tried to ping my "Web Server" from my "Music Server" and
that didn't work so I logged into my backup Linux server and couldn't ping it
from there either.
I Then slid my "Web Server" out a bit on the rack and began isolating the
issue. Once I determined it was the one stick of 512mb RAM I located my
receipt called the store I bought it from and found that since I had purchased
it as a package I had to return it as a package.
Anyway now I have my 1gb of RAM back and my web Server intact.
I now need to get my backup "Web Server" up to speed again. With all of
the changes I have made to my main "Web Server" I have ported none over
to my backup system! I should have been ready for this scenario!
I will have more on this on my "Main Blog" whose link is listed to the left.
Throwing out a wild stye set of beats for this Saturday for an hour or two.
Martini in hand
Fragrant oils and incense burning
Just another dog resting up from the storms rumblings across the land
Listen to this mellow yet sometimes rough music set and remember the hearts yearnings
Just lay back and let the rivulets of highs, the deep eddies of bass and the penetrating rhythmic mids flow over you and let the words draw you deep into the fantasizes of your mind as you are pulled into the swirl and let the music touch your soul.
